Our staff of friendly employees includes:She joined Rincon Vista as Practice Administrator in 2003, but she is no stranger to the practice – her cheery voice greeted you as a receptionist when were with Pets Plus. When not answering the phone or greeting clients, Pam is keeping Dr. Bird organized, or is off doing In-Home Pet Sitting. Pam is a problem solver and has accumulated an extensive database of information that she uses to help you take care of your pet needs. If you have an unusual problem related to your pets, just ask Pam! Pam lives with her daughter Becca, dogs Angel and Buddy James, who often join our front office staff, and Sheba, cats Eclipse, Kit Ton, Princess Callie, and Tootsie, and rabbit, Mr. Bun Bun.
Joined the staff as a Veterinary Assistant in 2003. She has always had a love for animals, enjoys her profession and considers herself lucky to be employed in the field. Throughout her life, dogs have been a integral part of her family. She believes it is important for children to have pets at home because they teach young ones about love and compassion. Lucy currently has five wonderful beautiful dogs.
Her compassion and love for animals motivated her to pursue a career as a Veterinary Assistant. She currently has three happy and loving dogs, a Doberman Pinscher named Deuce, a Red Nose Pit Bull, Lucky, and the newest member of the family, Princess, a Tea-Cup Chihuahua. Having grown up with dogs as pets, Karina gained her first experience with a cat (Hoppie) when she joined the Rincon Vista staff in 2004. Since that time, she says, "I have learned many new things and continue to learn more as each day passes."
(Our cat) joined our practice in 1993. He came to us with 4 legs, but his right hind one stuck out to the side like an outrigger and he kept getting it hung up on doors and such. After his amputation, he courageously took on the responsibility of being CIC (Cat-In-Charge) of Customer Services and Patient Comfort here full time. His current duties are visiting with clients, begging for scratches, keeping the floor clear of dust-bunnies and dodging feet. During surgeries, he helps out by insisting that anyone not moving should be petting the cat. He can often be found beneath the kennels of hospitalized patients where he meows compassionately - especially if the patient is cute, female and feline.
He came on board in May of 2006 as CIC (Cat-In-Charge) of Office Administration. The decision to bring him on staff was easy once we realized how easy it had always been to sit in our chairs and find things on our desks. His current responsibilities, not surprisingly, are pushing paper and occupying chair space. He splits his time between the front office which offers more opportunity to be "on top of things" and Dr. Bird's office in the back where he often enjoys his namesake variety of Doritos.
